Kaikoura is known as the
whalewatch capital of New Zealand, swimming with dolphins and with
seals are both possible here. A seal colony is easily visited from the
town. No trip to Kaikoura is complete without a fresh cooked crayfish
bought from one of the stalls on the side of the road. As the road
runs along beside the sea for many kilometres, there are lots of
places to explore rock pools. Continue North to Blenheim.
