In fact, having stood slack-jawed beneath the sky-piercing scenery, or
gazed into the glacier-cut valleys, even world-weary travellers take time to collect their
thoughts. That's why there is no rush. Your set your own pace, but a reasonable standard
of fitness is still required so you can enjoy your walk to the fullest.
The track is about 55 kilometres (33 miles) long. We allow six days which is ample time
to include a number of other exciting diversions such as the 580 metre cascade of the
Sutherland Falls (once believed to be the world's highest). |
| You can also take optional filghtseeing trips or wet a line for
fighting brown trout. The trek culminates in a spectacular boat ride on Milford Sound with close-up views of world
famous Mitre Peak. |
