"Down, Down to the Sea ..."

The Hollyford walk starts deep in the mute shadows of Fiordland's primordial beech forest at the base of the mighty Darran Range.

Groups are limited to 16 so your experienced guide can attend to every member in a personal and friendly manner.

Exhilerating jet boat rides are part of your trek experience too, some say the most exciting part of all.

Comfort is paramount in these wild regions, and each evening hot showers, hearty food and a comfortable bed await each intrepid traveller on the Hollyford Valley Trek.

After 56 spectacular kilometres, the walk finally emerges onto a remote shoreline beset by thundering surf. In this area, seafood delicacies such as paua and mussels can be gathered and barbecued at your lodge.

Take your pick of three magnificent treks through World Heritage Wilderness

Magnificent World Heritage Wilderness

The Routeburn Three Day Adventure

This adventure conveniently begins and ends with a scenic coach ride from Queenstown.

The walk proper starts high on the divide at Key Summit and winds past sparkling lakes and a dramatic waterfall. Further on are heart-stopping views overlooking the deep glacial-forged Hollyford Valley.

Each day the splendid panorama unfolds while each enchanted evening you'll stay in a private mountain lodge exclusive to Routeburn Trekkers.

The Greenstone Valley Three Day Walk

You begin at the same high point as the Routeburn, but turn south over Greenstone Saddle to reach the cozy confines of Lake McKeller Lodge before evening.

The next day, plunge into eerie moss-carpeted beech forests where occasional clearings afford views of the towering crags high overhead. The trail eventually emerges onto sunlit river flats crossing fields of alpine flowers.

The final day's trek follows the Greenstone River to the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

The Grand Traverse

The Grand Traverse combines both the Routeburn and the Greenstone to form New Zealand's premier guided trek. This walk takes six unforgettable days before returning to Queenstown for a special dinner to celebrate a truly remarkable trekking experience.
