"Take a
walk in the park ... or paddle your own canoe".

Unlike some of New
Zealand's more challenging wilderness treks, the Abel Tasman national Park 5 day and 3 day
adventures are for nature lovers of all ages. The well graded tracks meander between sea
shore and forested hinterland. |
| There are numerous bays
along the way, trimmed with exquisite golden sand. Seals and other marine creatures live
and breed on this coast while the forests resound with the songs of terns, bellbirds and a
myriad of other birdlife. |

Sea kayaks are a popular option and let you explore many hidden
nooks, inlets and bays inaccessible by land. Most of the walks take between 2 and 6 hours
with a coastal launch service to carry any heavy packs and equipment. At the end of each
day, comfortable lodges beackon with delicious meals served in roomy restful surroundings. |
